Today i went to see The Mortal Instruments at the Patria cinema in my city, it’s the premiere days and i was really excited to watch the movie because i also love the books.

First of all - i enjoyed the movie, it was good. The beginning was amazing, the middle was good, towards the end it wasn’t as consistent as i expected, but i still liked it!

Loved the special effects, not all of them were perfect of course, but i really wasn’t expecting an Avatar level. I loved all the mythology, all the creatures and transformations very much!

The cast was great, some of them i liked more than the others, but i liked it and had no problem with any of them. Lily was great as lead actress, the blond guy was also good, although someone else could have played the character a lot better. My most fav part of all the film was - Aidan Turner!!!! He was fantastic in the film and i wish they’ve shown more of him really! He plays a werewolf (YEAY) and he was fantastic in the movie. Also, Lily’s mother from the film was played by Lena Headey (Game of Thrones), she was also great, loved her! In general Lily, Lena and Aidan were my favs. Jonathan Rhys Meyers played the villain, and he was also good, fans of JRM will be pleased with his on-screen time and will love the fight scenes.

Except for some cheesy moments in the middle of the film and some awkward moments at the end of it - it was a solid adaptation of a very good book, i loved it and i will give it 7 stars out of 10! You should really check it out if you love fantasy and mythology, also vampires, werewolves, witches, magic and much more;)

PS: Spoilers are the reason why i am not describing each character, so i tried to express my feelings about the film, and not give away major plot lines.
